Landy has been organic farming since childhood. Raised on a 400-acre organic farm in rural Minnesota, his family focused on growing cattle, chickens, hay, and row crops. He learned to drive many types of farm equipment and he spent seven years managing hay and vegetable harvesting crews. After graduating from Colorado College and doing some travelling, Landy moved to Saint Helena. In 2010, he took on the task of building a vegetable farm for Gott's Roadside. He managed Gott's Farm in Saint Helena for the last four years.
In 2011, Landy began working with Colby Eierman Consulting and since that time he has assisted in the building of a CSA Garden and Orchard for Clif Family Farms, a production garden for Medlock Ames Winery in Alexander Valley, and a farm-to-restaurant production garden and line of tomato sauces for Little Paradise Farms in Sonoma.
Landy has been a regular attendee at the Eco-Farm Conference in Pacific Grove, CA and MOSES Organic Conference in La Crosse, WI. He spends his weekends working on his own property in nearby Solano County.
