Joe Gilsdorf joins the Long Meadow Ranch team as Tasting Room Manager at the Logan-Ives House. He brings with him an extensive hospitality background, a zeal for education, and an insatiable passion for food and wine.
A Wisconsin native, Joe began working in restaurants as soon as he was able. Always a student, he learned as much at work as he did in school (often more), indulging his curiosity about food, beer, wine, spirits – and more food. He eventually put this education to work – along with a Philosophy degree – with the opening of his own bar and restaurant, where proprietorship allowed for ever more opportunities to serve, learn, and share, and to make regular visits to Northern California. The restaurant prospered, and Joe’s fascination with farm to table dining and farm to glass winemaking grew. Ultimately, he relocated to the Napa Valley to immerse himself in its unparalleled food and wine culture.
When he’s not holding court in the tasting room, you can usually find Joe exploring his adopted North Bay backyard, enjoying its bounty out on his motorcycle and in his kitchen.
