Marelle Napa Valley Syrah is made at Long Meadow Ranch by our winemaker, Ashley Heisey. Ashley has been quietly incubating a Syrah program at our winery and we are very pleased to share her 2003 Napa Valley Syrah bottled under the her own label, "Marelle."

This wine is an exquisite example of Syrah and - in keeping with the Long Meadow Ranch style - a wonderful accompaniment to food.

The 2003 Marelle Napa Valley Syrah will be the featured January 2006 shipment of the LMR Corral Club. Only 50 cases are available.

2003 Marelle Napa Valley Syrah
From the first swirl, this expressive wine offers pepper and anise spice characteristics intermixed with smoky meatiness and an array of ripe fruits including blueberry and blackberry. The mouth feel has ample texture and structure. The long finish extends the opportunity to savor its true Syrah flavors. This wine is ready to enjoy today but will evolve well, without losing its fruit, over the next 3-5 years. - Ashley Heisey
