Tasting Room at Long Meadow Ranch Winery & Farmstead Opens in St. Helena
December 30, 2009, St. Helena, CA
Long Meadow Ranch Winery proprietors Ted, Laddie and Chris Hall are pleased to announce the opening of the tasting room at Long Meadow Ranch Winery & Farmstead at 738 Main Street in St. Helena. A local gathering place and Napa Valley destination, the two-and-a-half-acre property provides the complete Long Meadow Ranch experience. Anchored by the new wine tasting room, the property features wine flavor and vegetable gardens, a seasonal farm stand, the Whiting Nursery and the Farmstead restaurant showcasing American farmhouse cooking which will open in late January 2010.
Long Meadow Ranch Winery’s elegant, balanced wines and extra virgin olive oils receive star billing in the tasting room, set in the historic Logan-Ives House, the Gothic Revival farmhouse which was built in the 1870s and faithfully restored by the Hall family. The tasting room is open to the public as well as for private events and intimate gatherings.
Guests may enjoy an array of tasting experiences, such as the Essential Flight (an introduction to Long Meadow Ranch wines and their organic Napa Valley Select Extra Virgin Olive Oil); and the Signature Flight (an exclusive tasting of limited-production wines including the inaugural release of the E.J. Church Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve as well as tastes of two estate olive oils, including the award winning Prato Lungo produced from Napa Valley’s oldest historic olive orchards). Reservations are required for the Library Tasting (for groups of six or more) to taste limited production and library wines in an intimate seated tasting paired with a menu from Farmstead chef/partner Sheamus Feeley.
Long Meadow Ranch Winery & Farmstead is located at 738 Main Street in St. Helena. The tasting room is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Reservations are not required. For more information, please call (707) 963-4555 or visit www.longmeadowranch.com.
