Join us for a private visit to our 650-acre historic ranch nestled in the Mayacamas Mountain range, with vineyards 1100 feet above the Napa Valley. Enjoy the stunning views while on a leisurely hike through our vineyards and olive orchards or safari-style from the comfort of our all-terrain Pinzgauer.

Even better, come for a gourmet picnic lunch. Sample our chef-inspired presentations of wine, extra virgin olive oil, grass-fed beef, eggs, and heirloom fruits and vegetables.

Or, just sample the basics with a Saturday morning visit to the winery and frantoio. Choose a visit that suits your schedule and level of interest.

Long Meadow Ranch is an integrated organic farming operation - and purveyor of fine food - located high above the Napa Valley on the picturesque slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains where we produce award-winning wine, extra virgin olive oil, grass-fed beef, eggs, and heirloom fruits and vegetables for Napa Valley's finest restaurants. We even breed and work our own Appaloosa and POA horses.

LMR Saturday Wine & Olive Oil Excursion

Enjoy a rare scheduled excursion to LMR.
Visit America's only combined winery and olive oil frantoio. See Napa Valley's oldest olive orchards (planted in the 1870s) and enjoy gorgeous views of the valley.

You will be picked up at 10:30 AM (sharp!) on Saturday morning at LMR Rutherford Gardens (conveniently located on Highway 29 at 1796 So. Saint Helena Highway). Ride in our Pinzgauer for the short trip to Long Meadow Ranch. See the magnificent valley views from our secluded mountain location high above Rutherford. Enjoy a guided walk through the unique rammed-earth winery, explore the caves, and visit the olive oil frantoio. Sample our current releases of wines and olive oils - and beef jerky, too!

Return via Pinzgauer to your car at LMR Rutherford Gardens by 12:15 PM.

Backroads Wine & Olive Oil Tasting

Begin your adventure when we pick you up at LMR Rutherford Gardens (conveniently located on Highway 29) in our open sided Swiss Army cross-country all-terrain Pinzgauer. The trip will commence with the brief 3-mile ride to your first stop at ranch, nestled in the Mayacamas mountain range, 800 feet above the Napa Valley floor.

The excursion continues through the back roads of our 650-acre ranch with stops in our world-class vineyards and historic olive orchards. Enjoy stunning views from as high as 1850 feet above the valley. At the winery you will visit the wine cave and our frantoio, one of the few traditional olive oil mills in Napa County.

The trip is completed with a private presentation of our distinctive extra virgin olive oils and our estate produced wines. Enjoy a seasonal sampling of our garden produce and grass-fed beef.

The LMR Hike

See Long Meadow Ranch as it is meant to be. Stroll through our hillside vineyards, the historic olive orchard “Prato Lungo” and on up to Look Out Point for an incredible view of the valley below.

Following the hike, you will visit the winery cave and our traditional olive oil frantoio. Our hikers are then rewarded with a private presentation of our distinctive extra virgin olive oils and our estate produced wines. Enjoy a seasonal sampling of our garden produce and grass-fed beef.

Enjoy the bounty that Long Meadow Ranch has to offer.
