Our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon captured the best of what the vintage had to offer. The aromas are richly layered with notes of minerality, cocoa powder, aromatic red fruits and baking spices (cardamom with hints of cinnamon and clove).
Our 2014 Chardonnay is sourced from a vineyard in the southern part of the Napa Valley close to the cooling influences of the San Pablo Bay. Primary fermentation in Stainless Steel followed by Malo-lactic fermentation in neutral oak barrels allows the classic texture of this varietal to shine while preserving the wines natural acidity. Aromatics of candied lemon, oyster shell and pine forest are in harmony with a fleshy, well-textured palate.
LMR's Farmstead Cabernet Sauvignon captured the best of what the vintage had to offer. The ruby color is vibrant and youthful, but not as deep as some vintages because Sangiovese plays a large role in this blend. The aromas show off Cabernet Sauvignon characters of dried herbs, sweet bark, anise and tobacco as well as dried rose (from Sangiovese) and plenty of toasty cedar from oak aging. The wine expands remarkably on the palate with smooth, seamless, weighty tannins - a difficult texture to achieve in 2011. The complex flavors of cherry, dried beef, dried orange peel and wood-roasted vegetables linger through the clean, watering finish. Enjoy.
The third time Long Meadow Ranch has shown off its Merlot with a varietal bottling. Immediately, the youthful deep garnet hue hints at the vibrancy and freshness of this young red wine. It's at once refined and simply pleasing.
