2012 Pinot Noir "Farmstead"
For LMR Corral Club members only
The Russian River Valley appellation spans from the base of the Mayacamas Mountains in Santa Rosa to the Sebastopol Hills of the Sonoma Coast. Planted to clone 777, the Bucher Vineyard is a combination of volcanic, alluvial and riverbed gravel, coupled with warm days and cool nights.
2012 was a moderately warm vintage without excessive heat spikes, allowing a harvest of evenly ripened fruit. Yield was large, offering a rare combination of both quality and quantity. This Pinot Noir delivers layers of complexity with sour cherry under ripe strawberry and dried herbs, complimenting a firm, fresh palate.
