Staff Training Idea:

Why does the LMR label encircle the bottle?

Did you ever notice that the Long Meadow Ranch label completely encircles the bottle? In fact, it is the only "continuous" label in the wine business.

The continuous label symbolizes the continuity of our organic farming practices - "from Alpha to Omega" as Ted likes to say. Better yet, the label is made from recycled paper and is printed only with vegetable inks.

In addition, check out the LMR cork. These remarkable corks are among the longest from any winery - 54 mm - and show their true character because they are "unbleached".

Need any further evidence that Long Meadow Ranch truly "walks the talk?"

The story about the label is a great topic for a staff training because it gives a server something really interesting to say. Customers love to learn about the label and cork (the wine, too.). A fun exercise is to try to find the seam on the label. (Hint: there are two long red tabs and a seam next to the windmill.)

Yes, each label is hand-applied. Imagine.

P.S. The LMR cork is longer than Mouton Rothschild's!
