2021 PINOT GRIS,
ANDERSON VALLEY
TASTING NOTES
Pale green in color. The nose shows intricate bouquet of fresh lemons, yellow plums, peach and blood orange aromas. Round and at the same time very energetic on the palate, this a bright, elegant and crystalline Pinot Gris. It has a maritime salinity but also no lack of fruit with diverse citrus and ripe peach. The finish is all precisoin and mouthwatering. A perfect match to all your spicy dish.
GROWING SEASON
2021 will be remembered as an extreme vintage and one of the best of recent years. Pronounced drought conditions resulted in lower yields combined with mild spring and summer conditions, allowing the fruit to ripen slowly and providing a unique concentration of aromas and flavors while keeping high acidities. Perfectly balanced, the wines are a true glimpse of this unique vintage – concentrated and lively at the same time.
2021 PINOLE PINOT NOIR,
ANDERSON VALLEY ESTATE
TASTING NOTES
Medium-deep ruby in color. A lovely nose : very charming, classy and distinguished, with pennyroyal flower, fresh forest strawberry and violet flowers. The wine is dense, elegant and racy on the palate, with textural refinement, silky mouthfeel and an everlong finish. Return of straberry and violet flavors with note of vanilla add to its complexity. The 2021 Pinole will age gracefully for year to come and would be helped by a simple decanting in its first 5 years of life.

ADD ON WINE
2013 MERLOT,
RUTHERFORD ESTATE
tasting notes
“Our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon captured the best of what the vintage had to offer. The aromas are richly layered with notes of minerality, cocoa powder, aromatic red fruits and baking spices (cardamom with hints of cinnamon and clove). The palate weight expands after entry to yield a balanced and supple echo of the aromas. Sweet cherry, ripe plum and roasted sweet chilis add interest and depth to the full range of flavors.
The finish is watering with floral note that enhances this fruity and vibrant Cabernet Sauvignon.” – Ashley Heisey

GROWING SEASON
The 2013 vintage was a superb vintage. The unusually long season, moderate temperatures without a major heat spike, and lack of rains made for one of the best vintages in recent memory. An early spring bud break allowed our vineyards to get a two-week head start on the vintage, and the lack of frost meant that yields were excellent while the longer growing season allowed for full ripeness. The wines from this vintage will be of outstanding quality.
2021 PERRYGULCH PINOT NOIR,
ANDERSON VALLEY ESTATE
TASTING NOTES
The color is a medium intensity pure ruby red. The nose is intense ande arthy , blending minerality, black fruit and intense rose petal aromas. The aromas reminisce of the delicious blackberry growing on the property. The palate is dense, rich and smooth, with great scale top to bottom and a terrific length. Nothing is forced here. Intricate mesh of earthy, spicy flavours opening up to darker fruit, bright rose fisni that is long and lingering forever. 2021 will be a vintage of pleasure and for the ages.

2021 E.J. CHURCH,
MERLOT, NAPA VALLEY
TASTING NOTES
Nestled on the hillside just behind the winery, our small Merlot block is routinely among the first grapes harvested from the Mountain Estate. Opens with black cherry, dried cranberry, plum and a touch of cardamom on the nose. A vibrant acidity and gentle tannins support more lush stone fruit with hints of fresh olive, vanilla and cedar on the palate. This pairs deliciously with lamb meatballs, a winter stew, or a hearty heirloom tomato salad. – Justin Carr
